Hi everyone! I’m Angie Caldarone! I was born and raised in Mentor, Ohio, where I still live as of this day. I am also a recent graduate of John Carroll University, where I completed my undergraduate studies and earned my bachelor’s degree in early childhood education in May of 2023. Currently, I work during the day as an educational one-on-one aide at a special education school. On the side, I devote myself to singing and performing on stage!
My passion for the world of theatre and the performing arts has its roots in many of the things I loved during my childhood (and still love now), which include dressing up, singing, watching Disney movies, and making art through all sorts of mediums. But it really took off when I joined my middle school’s drama club. I performed in three shows during my time in middle school: “Alice in Wonderland”, “Peter Pan”, and “The Jungle Book”. I thoroughly enjoyed myself during this time, not just because I was immersed in such innovative and energetic retellings of these classic stories that we put on, but also because I felt like I truly found my niche. I made so many friends who share the same interests and passions as I do, and I felt unafraid to do weird and silly things and step outside my comfort zone.
Since then, I have appeared in numerous local theatre productions across northeast Ohio. Recently, I made my professional theatre debut in two dinner shows staged by Noble Art Entertainment in Geneva-on-the-Lake.
I am a classically trained soprano. I have been receiving vocal training for the past nine years, and I am always aiming to improve my techniques and increase my repertoire. I also am beginning to learn how to play the piano, which I had been wanting to do since I was a child. Additionally, I have had some dance experience, mainly in ballet, jazz, and musical theatre, which I hope to continue in the near future; my knowledge of movement on stage has also been increasing due to my ongoing experience in local theatre productions.
When I’m not working or doing theatre, I enjoy drawing, crafting, sewing, reading, shopping, and being with my friends! I also love being part of the audience and watching plays and musicals.
